This process increases the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP)- the fuel that drives all cells. This boost of cellular energy results in enhanced performance of the targeted cells. Blue, red and near-infrared are the wavelengths utilized in the CellumaPro LED device used at Renewal. These specific wavelengths have been scientifically proven to produce various benefits.

• Blue (465 nm) penetrates through the epidermis and is known to kill P. acnes bacteria and yeast.

How many sessions does it take to notice the effects?
Subtle improvements like softer skin are typically noticed after one 30-minute session; but one session will not be enough to achieve dramatic visible changes. The best results occur after 2-3 sessions per week for 1-3 months in conjunction with a good home care regimen. Treatment plans and progress will be monitored and adjusted as needed. Membership program and rental for home use are offered.
What does the treatment feel like?
Soothing warmth. Despite the bright lights you will likely relax and fall asleep!
Does the CellumaPro emit Ultraviolet radiation?
No- only blue, red, and near-infrared wavelengths.
Are the lights dangerous for my eyes?
Looking directly at the lights has the potential to damage the retina. Eye protection will be provided and must be worn while the device is operating.

How do I prepare for a LED Light Therapy session?
If you are also receiving a skin treatment no preparation is required. Otherwise, please come in with recently cleansed skin- no makeup, prescription topicals, moisturizer, or sunscreen as these products can interfere with the penetration of the light.

There are no restrictions on what products you can use or activities you can do after an LED session.
